Letter #6 to citizens of BWO

Gm citizens,

Some of you have verified your citizenship and have been added to the nation dashboard. Those of you that did verify, you received 10 TRUST.

Those without a TRUST score will be removed from our citizen nodes this week.

This is irregardless of whether you hold a citizenship NFT. If you do wish to continue the legacy of being in a network state, you can start afresh on a seperate node created by yourself, or create a digial country where you are the founder.

BWO values the quality of our citizens more than the quantity, and to that end, anyone falling below the TRUST threshold is removed.

Currently the TRUST threshold was zero, and everyone who fails to pass that lowest bar will be eliminated. In a way, this is one way of addressing the Eternal September that most cultures face.

ETERNAL SEPTEMBER

Most small communities find themselves at a crossroads at a certain point in existence where the influx of new users spoils the culture of the existing community.

This is doubly true for a nation with an associated citizenship NFT. While those who joined early might have assumed that passively holding the citizenship NFT was enough despite multiple announcements showing otherwise, it is essential to find a agreed-upon way to offboard them.

TRUST solves this, and offboards those falls below a threshold.

For a union to sustainably build strong relationships in the long term, the members have to coordinate with each other at least once in a while. If they don’t and fall below a threshold of TRUST, they are eliminated.

I believe this is a problem that many DAOs will face as the years go by. Without commonly agreed standards of offboarding people, there can not be growth and there will never be an entry for new blood into the union. BWO solves this with TRUST and citizenship NFTs that can be minted at any time if the supply has to be increased.

Almost no DAO currently have a working prototype of this right now, nor do they seem to care, so doing this manually is the best course of action. This will be a problem for many though, and I’m excited to see what solutions emerge.

Next Steps>

At BWO, we want people who share the vision of building a decentralized nation. To that end, we’ll be focusing on bringing quality citizens over to ensure BWO stays on it’s course of being the first digital nation to ever exist.

Thank you for reading. Have a nice day / night wherever you are!

Founder,

BWO.
